Busy Busy Bees

Thank you all for your support over the last few months. I have loved creating bespoke cakes for your special occasions. however as i it's only me in the kitchen (and a needy 3year old) with a full time job, i do need as much time as possible for your orders. So I am asking for 2 weeks minimum. Thank you again for your support and understanding ! toocoolforschool cakes.

all the single ladies...

These lovely ladies were cupcake creations but a 4year old girl - grace. Complete with a rainbow cake, we had 8 divas on stage too in their 'honey boo boo' esque get-ups. Remember ladies everyone's a winner.

chanel no. 30

 

My little sister recently turned 30 and her initials are CC - needless to say she is a touch obsessed with anything chanel so it was a no brainer that her 30th cake would be a chanel theme. We had cupcakes and a red quilted chanel no.30 cake complete with a white camellia. coco would have been proud.

A stunning, but simple ombre rose cake for Filippa on her birthday. 

Who doesn't love a pink rose or two.

aloha...just a small collection of Hawaiian mini cupcakes. definitely has me dreaming of pina coladas and sunshine.

whoaaa knarly dude...

This super knarly creation was a for a wake boarding enthusiast bday boy - Liam on his 12th birthday. Complete with killer sharks and some rad waves. No animals or wake boarders were harmed in the creation of this cake.

allo harry potter...

Who doesn't love a little magic! these super cute and magical harry potter cupcakes had Hogwarts worthy magic potions, brooms, the golden snitch, books of spells and magic jelly beans.

a clever lady beetle...

A big congratulations to a clever lady bug - Beatrice, for graduating from her bachelor of theology degree. I took lots of pics of the lovely details on the side as well as the ladybird mini cupcakes in the making and finished product. the baby lady beetles are my favourite ! .

little boy blue...

 

A special order of baby boy cupcakes for a baby shower. I am sure this little prince has already been welcomed to the big wide world so i wish his parents well and hope he's a strong healthy boy! .

black & white all over...

This was another monster birthday cake for a special 21st. 6 layers of caramel mud cake, filled with chocolate ganache, caramel sauce and crushed maltesers. Then covered in black fondant with white fondant stencil detail. topped off with a hand made fondant flower. a lot of work and love went into this creation but it was all worth it as he outcome was spectacular!.

When you're looking for inspiration for your cake order, Pinterest is the BEST place to start. As our cakes are bespoke, we like to make them personal them so no two cakes are the same. have a think about what colours your like, do you have a favourite animal, hobby or interest. for example my sister in law LOVES M&Ms so she's getting a giant M&M cake and my little sister is obsessed with Chanel so she's getting CC inspired cupcakes. of course we can help you pick the final design but when you're placing an order have a think beforehand on what you may like us to create for you. all images above are from Pinterest. be careful though - you'll be hooked!

training the dragon...

 

forget puff the magic dragon, it's all about the new classic - how to tame your dragon. this was the request of a special 8 year old for their birthday, as well as a bunch of dragon themed cupcakes to match. i've taken pics from all angles - don't worry he won't bite ! .

a not so dirty 30...

For many turning 30, isn't always a happy affair - but how could you not be delighted with a cake that screams joy and fun times. this red poppy cake was such a delight to make, had a smile from ear to ear during it's creation, and i believe the birthday girl did also.

not a bird. not a plane...

 

Boys will be boys. No matter what generation every boy LOVES batman and in this case it was a little 6yo boy called Alexander. This cake had everything, flying bats, a NYC skyline and mini batman cupcakes too ! .

ring a ring a rosie... a pocket full of posies...

 

This was my take on the traditional butterfly cupcake - although my nan made a pretty mean one in her day. this was a selection of cupcakes made into beautiful posies for a recent cake stall at a local school. They really are too pretty to eat ! .

and it's a strike...

We stuck out with this ten pin bowling inspired cake for a special 9 year old. the teal blue butter cream icing was such a divine colour against the black and white chevron print.

d is for duke...

 

D is for divine and baby duke. another special request cake for a beautiful baby boy. The varsity letter D is very on trend at the moment on the fashion scene. love the simple yet effective navy and yellow colour theme too.
